Zay Cann is an actor, teacher, musician, and dancer with 12+ years of vocal and performance experience. Their first teaching job was at Parker Music Academy as a private music teacher from 2017-2022, specializing in vocal technique and audition prep. They are currently the Music Fundamentals teacher for Senior Lab and have been working with RMTK/AAPA since 2023.
Zay is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre at MSU Denver, set to graduate in 2026. Some of their favorite credits include Lennox in MacBeth, Renfield in Dracula, and Caliope in Xanadu.
Performance and teaching are Zay’s biggest passions. They love making art, whether it be on stage, on canvas, or through clothing and props, and they want to pass that love or creativity onto their students. They hope that every student they work with feels understood, inspired, and learns to love and express themselves in whatever ways feel genuine. While not teaching, Zay enjoys embroidery, changing their hair, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
