Rickey Cooper

Rickey is a director and choreographer at APPA/RMTK and this will be his second full year at APPA/RMTK. He graduated from The College of Wooster with a BA in Theatre and Dance. In college he had a leading role in every play that he auditioned for and is incredibly passionate about storytelling. He believes storytelling is one of the most important things that we have as people and that art and stories have the power to inspire people and change lives for the better! Rickey has been an actor in over thirty shows and has loved each and every one of them. One of his favorite characters to play was Anthony from I and You by Lauren Gunderson. At APPA he taught acting majors for Juniors and IPC in 2023-2024 and has directed and choreographed a few shows in the Denver location. He has a knack for having exciting and intricate set design and making it interactive for his students. Some of the shows he was involved with were Shrek: The Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast and more. Rickey can’t wait to continue teaching and sharing his love for this art with all of the wonderful students at APPA/RMTK!
