Halima teaches the Acting III Majors classes for our Actors Academy for the Performing Arts in both Denver and Boulder, and is currently a professional career nanny specializing in infant care who has worked in children’s theatre since 2017.
She started as a theatre education intern and child wrangler with CAST Kidz in Anniston, Alabama, and during her time there, she appeared in numerous children’s shows and designed the hair and makeup for each production.
Halima was also the drama director for a sleepaway camp in New York, where she directed four shows over two summers.
What’s more, Halima is skilled in wig construction, hair and makeup design, and mask/headpiece design and painting, and is also an artist who runs a small business in her spare time.
She will be designing the hair, makeup, and props for our Actors Academy shows this season, so if you see her around the theaters, please don’t hesitate to say hello!
