Gianna Koenig

Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Gianna is a newcomer to Colorado and is thrilled to be teaching at RMTK! Gianna has +15 years of experience in performance and choreography. Her primary background is in musical theater and she especially enjoys tap dance. She graduated magna cum laude from Salisbury University with an Interdisciplinary Studies BA; which included in-depth study in the areas of vocal performance, dance, theater, media production, and psychology. Some of her favorite credits include Penny in Hairspray! and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. She also performed with the Salisbury University Dance Company in 2019 and was a NATS Student Auditions national semi-finalist in 2020. After graduating, she earned a Music Outreach Certificate and performed around the country with the Young Americans. Currently, she is enjoying life in the front range while working toward a master’s degree in Somatic Counseling with a Dance/Movement Therapy emphasis at Naropa University in Boulder.
