of Iliff & Clayton (2 blocks east of University and Evans) in

Denver Youth Repertory Junior Company
(ages 7-10)
Saturdays 9am - 1pm / late Sept - late April
This program will give students experience in the fundamentals
of the performing arts. Students will receive training in acting,
voice and dance and will prepare for two student showcases. The
schedule goes as follows: Saturdays from 9-11 are spent on exploring
different acting modalities such as: introduction to scene work,
improvisation, actor physicality and neutral mask work, 11-1 are
spent in singing and dance class where musical theater styles will
be introduced as well proper voice technique and contemporary dance
forms.
Denver Youth Repertory Senior
Company (ages 11-15)
Saturdays 1:15-6pm; Tuesdays 4:30-6:30pm / late Sept - late
April
In this company we will introduce the students to an intensive exploration
of character and actor movement technique, basic scene study, as
well as enhancing singing and dance skills. During the first partof
each semester, we will offer classes which the students will rotate
through in singing, dance, and acting technique. During the second
part of the semester we will spend our time in rehearsal building
our show. We will perform a drama in the fall and a musical in the
spring. Only 15 - 18 actors will be allowed into this company, which
requires a year long committement on the part of each actor.
Youth Actors Conservatories are pre-professional training
year round (mid Sept - mid April) programs, intended to give the
student intensive and specialized training in the performing arts.
Focus will vary depending on the program but will often include
character work, scene study, voice, and production work. Our Youth
Actors Conservatories are composed of more serious and committed
student actors.
