Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids Artistic Director Michelle
Romeo is proud to bring to the Denver-Boulder metro area a
new theatre company and venue Theatre
O. Theatre O seeks to expand the diversity of live theatre
in the Denver-Boulder metro area by producing innovative and
provocative work by some of today's best contemporary playwrights.
The new venue provides an intimate and professional
setting and will be available for use for RMTK students for
rehearsal and productions.

in the audience for its summer matinee of "Oliver".
The Mayor attended to support a friend's child who was in

Philanthropy Report

Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids is proud to have awarded over
$19,000 in scholarships to students and low income families
during 2007 and the first quarter of 2008. All scholarships
were self-funded as RMTK does not receive any public funding.
Furthermore, in 2008 alone, RMTK has contributed to the following
Boulder-Denver organizations: Dreamcatcher Direct Instruction,
Community Montessori Public School, Shining Mountain Waldorf
School, Corey Elementary Public School, The Center for Talented
and Innovated Youth, and many others.

Congratulations to Youth Conservatory
Actors Lizzie Pittman and Jackson Lomis for their Best Actress
and Actor Awards as Adelaide and Nathan Detroit respectively
in RMTK's April 2007 Denver Youth Repertory Company Production
of "Guys and Dolls. Awards are presented through the
National
Youth Theatre which reviewed more than 70 youth productions
in 11 different states.

RMTK Toy Drive Results In
A Hundred Plus Presents for Native American Youth

Thank you to all students and parents who so generously participated
in our toy drive this past holiday season. The toy drive benefitted
Northern Cheyenne and Pine Ridge Indian Reservations in Montana
and South Dakota. We are grateful for your generosity.
RMTK Establishes First Denver Youth Repertory Company

RMTK is proud to see the Denver community express great enthusiasm
for our work and complete full enrollment for our first ever
Denver Youth Repertory Company, a troup of talented and committed
student actors. The Denver Rep Company will perform "Miracle
on 34th St" Dec 15 -17 at The Phoenix Theatre.

Actresses Maya Ward and Veronica Bird won Best Supporting
Actress Awards as Yente and Chava respectively in RMTK's April
'06 production of "Fiddler On The Roof" through
the National
Youth Theatre. Both actresses flew to San Diego to recieve
their awards. Congratulations to Maya and Veronica!

Raises $1,750 for Summer Camp Scholarships

Thanks to all our sponsors and donors who contributed to our
festival and silent auction. Through a variety of activities,
food, entertainment, and our silent auction, we were able
to raise $1,750 to enable lower income students to attend
our summer camp programs.

RMTK Opens New Childrens' Performing
Arts Complex

Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids, the premier children's performing
arts company, is proud to announce the opening of our new
5300 square foot children's performing arts complex at 5311
Western Avenue, near 55th & Arapahoe. It includes
The Magic Playouse, a 3600 square foot 110 seat theater, an
800 square foot dance studio, and several classrooms.
We opened officially June 1st and are featuring our summer
performing arts camps there, two of which focus on the work-shopping
and rehearsal of a full length musical production, which is
then performed for the public for six consecutive days. This
summer we are performing the "The Chronicles of Narnia"
as well as "Peter Pan: An Original Musical!"
